A time capsule in the heart of Barcelona's Eixample district, a unique and singular way of understanding the entrepanes format. Welcome to EntrepanesDiaz.com
The first was to reinterpret the dishes my mother used to make for me when I was a child, and serve them inside a light bread, without butter. Tasty, well-crafted sandwiches, a fun way to revisit my childhood.
The second goal was to give a second chance to veteran waiters who were going through tough times. Waiters over 50, with long professional careers and a deep love for their trade. We brought back professionals who had been cast aside by society, claiming they were no longer useful in the workplace.
Not only did they prove otherwise — the comments from our customers couldn’t have been more heartfelt. Their professionalism, grace, dedication, and attention to detail are second to none.
The space was meant to recall Madrid in the 1960s: marble, hydraulic tiles, a long bar… Díaz dressed the walls with black-and-white photos by Catalan photographers of the era — Miserachs, Colita, Maspons — all of whom are part of our home, along with a photographic archive acquired from the Generalitat, featuring iconic images of 1960s Barcelona.
Our friend Antxon Gómez helped create a warm and welcoming interior — a space full of life and joy.
The food offering is rounded out with delicious classic tapas and small plates.
Discover a fun way to enjoy signature sandwiches in Barcelona, in a setting that will transport you to another era. A project born from the heart to satisfy our family of customers.
